Several Code Enforcement Positions

POSITIONS:

The City of Cleveland Heights Department of Planning & Development is currently seeking a number of positions to join its growing Housing & Inspectional and Housing Preservation teams.

 

WHO WE ARE:

Cleveland Heights is an inner-ring suburb of Cleveland, Ohio with a population of just under 45,000 people and a combined 2022 budget of over $129M. Cleveland Heights is a dynamic city with a legacy of intentional economic, racial, and cultural diversity and inclusion. Much of the City’s budget has been allocated towards housing and inspectional services, as well as housing preservation.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

The Department of Planning & Development, Division of Housing & Inspections seeks:

  • Chief Housing Inspector to provide oversight and direction for internal operations and staff and to serve as a liaison with outside agencies

  • Housing Property Investigator/Housing Inspector to maintain an inventory of vacant, foreclosed,bank-owned, and nuisance candidates, report on those properties, inspect them for any code violations

  • Three (3) Housing Inspectors that will perform property maintenance and code enforcement inspections to ensure compliance with the codes and ordinances adopted by the City of Cleveland Heights.

 

The Department of Planning & Development, Historic Preservation Office seeks a Housing RehabilitationSpecialist to create detailed home renovation specifications and cost analysis for multiple programs.
