Director of Zoning
Salary - $75,000–$85,000
Job Type - Full-time, in-person

Berlin Township is seeking an experienced Director of Zoning to oversee all planning, zoning, and community development functions under the supervision of the Township Administrator.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Supervise Zoning Department staff and operations.
· Review and process zoning applications, permits, and compliance certificates.
· Enforce zoning codes and resolve violations.
· Advise Township officials on zoning and development matters.
· Attend and present reports to the Board of Zoning Appeals, Zoning Commission, and Township Trustees.
· Serve as Township representative to Delaware County Regional Planning Commission.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
· Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 5-7 years of experience in zoning, code enforcement, or economic development.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Knowledge of state and local zoning law.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and zoning technology.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
· Position requires both office and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
